What Rihannas Wearing

Rihanna has been showing off her girly side lately, firstly the Grammys princess dress and now she's giving Barbie a run for her money in this head-to-toe pink ensemble. It seems she can't get enough of pink - I know the feeling.

These pictures surfaced on my Instagram feed last week and I have to say this has got to be my favourite celebrity look of the month, forget Kims hair! Rihanna was papped in New York City as she made her way to the studio of 'Good Morning America' where she was making a guest appearance to promote her new movie 'Home'.

Rihanna was wearing a baby pink jumpsuit with an oversized jacket to match and a glamorous fur stole, fresh from the Pascal Millet fall '15 catwalk. She finished off the all-pink attire with Holly Fullton x Christian Louboutin suede pumps and understated jewellery by Jennifer Fisher.

Rihanna has been seen with many different and unusual hairstyles through out her career but lately she has been opting for a more natural look, which I have to say is my favourite. For her makeup she went with a subtle look, leaving her outfit do the talking. She wore a neutral smokey eye and a nude/pink lip with a pop of colour on her cheeks.

Overall Rihanna gets a 10/10 from me!

Celebrity Fashion

Firstly I must apologise for the lack of blog posts in the last few weeks, I've been quite busy lately and haven't been able to find the time, however I will be getting back in to a regular blogging routine as of now!
So many of my recent blog posts have been about makeup which is of course my favourite subject, but unfortunately I haven't bought any new makeup since my last haul so as you can imagine I'm pining for a trip to the MAC counter. I've been trying a lot of different eye makeup looks lately which I would love to share with you but I can't because I lost my phone which means no camera!!! Basically this is another excuse as to why I haven't been posting on here, so with my lack of new makeup and OOTD's and FOTD's, I decided to write this post on which celebrity fashion I have been loving this past month!

Does J.Lo ever get it wrong? At 45 years old J.Lo is still keeping her style young, fun and fresh and she's even rocking pigtails, possibly inspired by Ariana Grande. Some may not agree but I think she looks amazing in both of these outfits,  I wish I could dress like this everyday and those orange court shoes are on my wish list!

I am so obsessed with Kylie Jenners style, this year she has really made an impact and truly put her self on the map! In these images she is rocking denim and leather and although this isn't something I would wear I think she looks fabulous, I don't know of anyone else who could make a massively oversized shirt look so good!

Its so hard for me to write a celebrity fashion blog with out talking about the Kardashian/Jenners because I love just about everything they wear, I'm especially loving the more 'casual' looks they have sported lately. Here is Kylie again wearing another of my favourite fashion items, denim boyfriend jeans, I love how she has dressed them up with a silk cami.

Again everything is on point here for the autumn season! leather, sweat pants, crop tops, points - big inspiration for my autumn/winter wardrobe!

I love Nicki Minaj's new toned down look, she still manages to stand out from the crowd with out the crazy wigs and outfits. I love her more than ever now!

Here is Iman, Rihanna and Naomi Campbell in a Balmain Campaign. If I became a millionaire one of the first things I would do is revamp my wardrobe and kit myself out in Balmain and hire Oliver Rousteing as my stylist. This campaign oozes everything I am loving this season, khaki green, leather, embellishment and leopard print which never seems to go out of fashion!

Met Gala 2014, My Favourite Looks

The Met Gala is the fashion worlds most anticipated event, every year the event is given a theme and this year it was 'White Tie and Decorations'. As always the red carpet in New York was graced by many celebrities and style icons in the most beautiful and outrageous fashions, but for me, of all the big names and alluring dresses, Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Rihanna made the cut!

Of all the Kardashian/Jenner clang it was only Kendall and sister Kim who made an appearance on the red carpet, and although we are so use to seeing Kim K looking stunningly glamourous at big events (and almost everyday) it was Kendall who outshone her sister on this occasion. Surprisingly Kendalls elegant gown was from none other than high street brand Topshop, but ofcourse this dress was custom made for her. Kendalls satin mermaid style dress was blinged up with a Chopard diamond choker necklace and there is certainly nothing high street about that. We have seen Kendall and sister Kylie growing up before our eyes on 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' but I can say Kendall truly looked like a women on the red carpet, so elegant and sophisticated. Her look was finished off beautifully with simplistic hair and makeup which complimented her dress.

Supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whitely donned head to toe Balmain on the red carpet, and as I dream of a wardrobe filled with Balmain in years to come this look was bound to make it to my favourites list. The Victorias Secret models daring short dress featured gold embellishments and fierce leopard print and leather panels and her gladiator heels looked made to match. Rosie opted for minimal accessories with only chunky golden hoop earrings, she went for sleek straight hair and as opposed to the 'out there' dress her makeup look was neutral and flawless.

Rihanna is always a stand out contender on the red carpet. Her look was on par with the white theme as she looked 'elegant with an edge' in this on trend cropped two-piece. Rihanna was one of the few A-List celebs on the carpet to be dressed by top designer Stella McCartney. I am in love with this ensemble, I can see that so much thought has been put in to this creation, from the shoulder pads to the cut-out back, the ruching and trail of the skirt. In company with the dress Rihanna rocked a diamond choker and several rings and her hair looked the most natural I have ever seen it.

Makeup Tutorial Inspired By Lucy Mecklenburgh 80s Look

This makeup look was inspired by Lucy Mecklenburghs Superdrug campaign for Dare magazine. Lucy had been given an 80's style makeover for the photo shoot, she also modelled several other looks channeling different decades to celebrate 50 years of Superdrug. My friend saw a behind the scenes picture which Lucy had posted on Instagram and asked me recreate this look on her for a night out, when I saw the picture I couldn't wait to recreate Lucys gorgeous makeup.

I will mention, everyone has different shapes eyes, Lucy has very round eyes where as my friend has more almond shaped eyes so I adapted the look to suit her. Here are the pictures of the finished look...

Here I am going to explain how I created the eye makeup...

I always begin with the eye makeup, that way if there is any fall out I can easily wipe it away with out having to worry about reapplying foundation.
  • Apply MAC Painterly paint pot all over the lid and the brow bone, this works as an eye primer
  • Apply MAC' Expensive Pink' eyeshadow on the eyelid only
  • Take MAC 'Cork' eyeshadow through the crease and slightly over, I used this as a transition colour to create more depth
  • Begin applying MAC Beauty Marked eyeshadow in the crease and outer V, I start with a little eyeshadow and build the colour up so I can create the right shape.
  • Take a fluffy eyeshadow brush and blend 'Cork' and 'Beauty Marked' together so the colours transition smoothly
  • Apply MAC 'Shroom' eyeshadow on the brow bone, this 'lifts' the brows
  • Apply MAC 'Gleam' in the inner corners, this gives the illusion of bigger eyes
  • Apply MAC Liquidlast eyeliner along the top lash line, from the very inner corners and making it thicker towards the outer corners then create a flick.
  • Apply the same eyeliner on to a clean eyeliner brush and apply the colour along the waterline
  • Take 'Beauty Marked' again and apply it along the lower lash line
  • Fill in the brows with HD Brows Pro Eye and Brow Kit, I used the colour 'Deep Brown' from the palette.
  • Apply false eyelashes, the ones I use are unbranded bought from Ebay
  • Apply mascara to bottom lashes and top lashes to blend in with false lashes

Jennifer Lopez In Pink

3 weeks ago Jennifer Lopez stepped out in a hot pink top and crop jean combo paired with nude point court heels and a big bouncy pony tail. I think its one of those you either love it or hate it outfits but I love it!

Jennifer got papped again yesterday wearing another bright pink ensemble; a gorgeous short floaty playsuit with a gold chain resting around her waist, a chunky gold necklace and what looks like another pair of points. I think J.Lo's hair really compliments the outfit, I love the soft beachy waves. This is a perfect day to night look!

...And those aren't the first times J.Lo has been spotted wearing all pink everything!

J.Lo in another hot pink ensemble back in 2012, here she is wearing a Michael Kors gown with a thigh high slit. She tones down the look and pairs with simple accessories, delicate black sandals and a sleek ponytail.

Also in 2012, here she is at Paris Fashion attending the Valentino show. She wore a pink bow accented flouncy dress paired with a studded black clutch and sparkling silver heels, all by Valentino.

It looks like J.Lo might love pink as much as I do!
