Recent Makeup Looks

I'm back with a quick post on some of the most recent makeup looks I have created. I've been enjoying getting creative with bright colours using some gorgeous new pigments I've picked up from Inglot and Peaches and Cream. I've also been loving a nude lip as you can see, the dose of colours matte lipsticks are gorgeous, I can't wait to get my hands on some more. I would insert a product list for these looks but this is a collection of looks from over the last couple of months so I can't exactly remember everything I used, however I will be creating more looks soon and I will make sure to do so in the future.

My Favourite Makeup Products Of 2017

Here is yet another attempt at me keeping up at posting on my blog. For this post I'm going to round up my favourite makeup products of the year, I have tried so many different products and new brands this year, but these ones are worth the hype...
(I haven't mentioned some other products which I have spoke about previously but they're still my favourites)

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette - This is the second palette I have bought from Huda Beauty, after using the original Rose Gold palette and loving it I had to try this one and I've got to say I love it even more. It has got some great matte shades, however I must say pretty much all the eyeshadows have a red undertone which is great for me but not to everyones taste. As well as the matte shades there are some gorgeous unique duo-chrome/metalic shades. On top of that the pigments in this palette are fantastic, there isn't a lot of fall out and the shadows blend out really smoothly. This is my go-to palette atm and this one I have kept to myself and I haven't used on my clients but I would certainly recommend it to them.

MAC Pro Longwear Fluidline in 'Dipdown' -  This is my favourite brow product to date, you can create the perfect brow with this gel product, its really easy to use as the gel glides on, and I would say its the perfect shade for me because I like a really bold and defined brow. I haven't tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Promade so I can't compare but I know it is a very similar product however this one is a little cheaper so I would recommend this if you were wanting to save a little money.

No 7 Stay Perfect Mascara - I don't use mascara as much as I use to as I now get lash extensions and they are the best thing ever but when I'm waiting to get infills and for my bottom lashes I use this No 7 mascara. For a year I tested out so many mascaras that claimed to be waterproof and smudge proof and none of them were doing the job for me, I don't know if its just me but all of these mascaras were giving me panda eyes. I heard a good review about this mascara so I had to try it and I'm so glad I did cause this one does not budge, once its on your lashes its not going anywhere, its actually hard to get off and comes off in tubes but it certainly does what it says on the package. So if you have the problem I had with mascara you need to get this and you won't be disappointed.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in 'Stockholm' - This has been my go-to lip product this year when I'm wanting to go matte. I wear it almost everyday so I'm surprised I still have any left. This is also a popular colour with my clients, its a neutral peach/pink colour so its perfect for everyday wear. The product is really easy to apply as it comes in a liquid form so its really creamy and does not leave my lips feeling to dry and its also long lasting.

NYX Slide On Lip Pencil in 'Bedrose' - This is my absolute favourite lip pencil which I need to repurchase. This alongside the matte lip creme I mentioned above is my favourite lip combo. This lip pencil also looks gorgeous worn on its own all over the lips and lasts for hours. It reminds me of a MAC lip pencil I use to use religiously which unfortunately got discontinued.

Fenty Beauty 'Glossbomb' Universal Lip Luminizer - If you haven't tried Fenty beauty yet where you been? I had to get my hands on some of Rihannas makeup line asap, I love her and her makeup always looks flawless and I need some of that. After the matte lipstick take over lipgloss is now back on trend and I'm topping all my lipsticks with this. It comes in one shade, which is a universal rose nude shade which suits absolutely everyone! Its high shine and feels really moisturising and on top of all that the packaging is so sleek and gorgeous and it smells of peachy vanilla!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in 'Give Me Sun'  - This is my absolute favourite bronzer, it is the perfect colour, it warms up your skin, making you look naturally tanned and sun kissed. I also use this to contour, building up the colour on my cheekbones and temples as I prefer warm undertones rather than anything with grey/ashy undertones.

Celeb Stye: Karrueche

Karrueche Tran is an American actress and model but is most well known for being on/off ex girlfriend of Chris brown. Karrueche is someone I love to follow on Instagram mostly because I love her style but after doing a little research its no surprise she is so stylish as she actually started off her career as a personal shopper, eventually becoming a freelance celebrity stylist in Hollywood. The stunning Karrueche, who is half Vietnamese and half Jamaican, is forever updating her social media with selfies, beach shots and images from the many events and hotspots she attends, it doesn't matter where she is, she always looks good and she always pulls an unusual chic outfit out the bag. Below I have put together some of my favourite Kurreche looks.

Karrueche makes a statement in this bold two piece by Manning Cartell. The cute bralette shows off her enviable abs and the mustard colour compliments her beautiful skin tone. I like how she has kept everything else minimal, her makeup and accessories are muted and her hair is effortlessly pulled back.

It would seem Karrueche is a fan of brights in a more recent appearance at the '17 Golden Globe Awards where she was a co host on the red carpet. Karrueche stunned in a hot pink gown by Dolce & Gabanna. Many were not a fan of this look which was dubbed more high school prom than Hollywood but I disagree I think she pulled it off. I'm also a major fan of her sleek top knot and hoops.

Throwing it back to '15 but keeping up the brights trend, Karrueche was photographed in another vivid two piece. This ticks all the boxes for me I love a red evening look and her high waisted flared trousers, which are now very on trend.

If anyone call pull off a mini dress its Karrueche. This chocolate silky number is from House of CB which she teamed with an eye catching lantern style bag and strappy heels. For this look she went with a different approach from her usual minimal hair and makeup and instead opted for a smouldering smokey eye and a loose long braid.

January Wishlist

Although January is suppose to be the month of saving up after spending so much money over the Christmas period, there is always something or somethings at the back of my mind that I really want to buy... which is usually makeup or clothes. I told myself in November that I am on a makeup ban after spending too much on products I probably didn't need but my ban is up in February and my birthday is also that month, so below I've put together the products which I've been lusting over and are at the top of my wishlist.
Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil - This is something that I can't seem to get away from as it keeps popping up on my Instagram feed. I must admit it I have not seen this product up close, but its Tom Ford, I'm pretty sure it will not disappoint. From what I have seen It looks like a gorgeous product and I've also seen some brilliant reviews, another blogger claimed it smells like a holiday - cocunut, white flowers and a colourful cocktail. Thats just the smell, the oil itself looks like it gives off the perfect summer glow with just the right amount of shimmer, just the finishing touch a girl needs before a night out on the town. This is definitely something I want to be taking away on holiday with me in the summer, I just need to find a spare £70 to buy it first!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - This is something I have been debating on buying for a while as I have not used a lot of NARS products but I've only heard good things about it so I think its time I give it a try. I find a lot of concealers can be very drying which makes the eye area look very dull, hopefully this creamy product will not have that effect and will give me the moisture I need along with good coverage to hide my dark circles.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette - This is another product I've had my eye on for sometime, I brushed off buying this because I tend to stick to MAC eyeshadows but lately I have came across so many tutorials using this palette I think I may have to cave and try something new. I love the selection of colours in this palette, I think I would use every one of them, the orange and pink shades are similar to what I already use on myself and a lot of my clients have been asking for those and cranberry tones lately so I think this would be a great edition to my kit.

New Year And Back To Blogging

Happy new year!
Finally I can get back to regularly updating my blog after being out of the routine since April, my excuse is that my old laptop had been playing up but now I am back with a new laptop and I am looking forward to writing again. A lot has gone on since I was last active on here so I'm not quite sure where to start with posts but I've got some ideas in mind.

As it is the beginning of 2017 we're all talking about our new year resolutions and like I said I don't know where to start with rebooting my blog, so for this post I may as well share my own resolutions to get back into the swing of things...

  • This year I will learn to drive, I've definitely held out for long enough and made excuse after excuse but I'm feeling more confident now and have already started learning my theory so in February I'm going to start my driving lessons and hopefully pass as soon as possible.
  • I will get myself in to a good gym/exercise routine, I've been so lazy since getting back from Ibiza in July, I've done hardly any exercise and I'm not feeling good in myself so now is the time to start and once I've booked my summer holiday for this year I will have all the motivation I need.
  • I also have some more 2017 goals in mind which I'm going to keep those to myself but lets just say I'm definitely ready to make some big changes this year, I feel like I've been in the same position for a long time now and its time to step up and move on with some things.
I'll round this up here and get to brainstorming for my next post,

Coachella 2016: My Favourite Looks

This past weekend many of our favourite celebs attended the festival of all festivals, Coachella. Coachella kick starts the festival season, and the event photos posted across social media get me really excited for the forthcoming summer as it gives me inspiration for a new wardrobe. Here I have put together some of my favourite looks from weekend one of Coachella.

Kylie Jenner, never one to fade in to the back ground, shows off yet another crazy hairstyle and I believe her Louis Vuitton head scarf is gonna set off a new rage. I'm loving her swimwear but her silk dress/t shirt combo is a little boring if you ask me.

Speaking of Jenners, supermodel Kendall looked like an expert festival goer with her buns, boho dress and accessories galore.

Sheer cover ups seemed to be a trend at the event as Jamie Chung and Paris Hilton show off their under garments.

Band Tee's are always an easy option for festivals but Chanel Iman didn't hold back on showing off her long legs in these short shorts.

Another Chanel Iman look, which has to be my all round favourite look from the weekend, I love everything about it, the pastel colours, materials, the accessories, I love it!

One of my favourite Victoria's Secret models Shanina Shaik went for a rock meets reggae look.

If you enjoyed reading this why not look back my post from last years Coachella here.

February Makeup Favourites

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Palette (Medium) - Is it all it's cracked up to be? YES! I love this palette and it is so easy to work with. The coverage is amazing,  I use the 'cream' shade in this palette as an under eye concealer and 'banana' as a highlighter, these shades brighten up my skin and help to conceal my dark circles better than any other product I have used. I love to use the darker shades to bronze my skin and to create some definition by contouring. I would recommend this product to anyone!

MAC Strobe Cream - I bought this product just after Christmas and ever since I have been using it daily on my self and my clients. I love to apply this before foundation for a healthy and illuminating glow. I apply it to the high points of my face, particularly on my cheek bones where I like to highlight the most. I use this along side MAC skin base visage primer and studio fix fluid foundation, I love the combination of the three for a dewy and long lasting finish.

Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Setting Spray - This is another cult product that everybody raves about and I've got to say I've been pretty impressed with it, my makeup does seem to stay in place and is longer lasting with a few sprits' of the spray when my makeup is complete and it also gives the skin an extra little glow after powdering. This product is now a must have for me and I will definitely be repurchasing!

NARS Illuminator 'Super Orgasm' - I never use to be crazy about a highlighter, but now I am and I had to get my hands on this pretty product. I apply this to my cheekbones after foundation, however I don't wear this daily, it is a product I opt for with evening makeup. This pearly peach illuminator gives off hints of gold which looks stunning when hit by the light.

My Wardrobe Necessitites

With it being the new year I decided to have a big clear out and get rid of some clothes I don't wear anymore, making room in my wardrobe for some new clothes. Below I have put together a list of my favourite and must have items for this time of year.

Plain T's
I love plain T shirts they are the most basic item but they are an absolute essential in my wardrobe, I wear one almost every day. I'm always picking up a new T shirt on shopping trips, black and white T's are a must have but some other colours I have picked up are grey, khaki and blush pink. They are so easy to wear, I have a bit of an obsession with jackets and they are perfect to wear underneath those or any other statement piece.

Fur Gilet
A gilet is a great and fashionable alternative for a coat or jacket if you don't want to completely cover yourself up, of course in this weather I would make sure I'm wearing something warm and long sleeved underneath.

Leather Jacket
I rave about leather jackets a lot but its a fact that they are a timeless item, they never go out of fashion, they can give a simple outfit a bit of an edge and they go with pretty much everything.

Denim Jacket
I just picked up a denim jacket last week in the sale at Zara, another easy to wear item which will probably be in my wardrobe forever. I love wearing different textures together like leather and denim.

Bomber Jacket
Lord knows I love a bomber jacket, I've probably mentioned them in my last 5 fashion posts but I'm still loving them and they don't seem to be going out of fashion any time soon!

Leather leggings/trousers
Leather can add a bit of excitement to an otherwise plain outfit, these can work dressed down for a day look and dressed up for a night out.

Ankle boots
I've always opted for long boots but this year I've bought some ankle boots, last year saw an over-the-knee over load so I've decided to go for something different for everyday wear.

Statement heels
I love to wear a statement heel for a night out, I think shoes are just as important as the outfit you wear and they can completely finish the look off, a lot of fashion at the moment is very basic,  for example a block coloured slinky dress or two piece, so a stylish pair of shoes can really set an outfit off and be the talking point of the outfit.

Jumpers
Jumpers are definitely a necessity for this time of the year; high neck, roll neck, cropped, oversized, cable knit, there are so many styles and I just can't resist picking them up on shopping trips, especially at H&M they have so many to choose from at affordable prices.

Trainers
I've never been a big fan of trainers but recently I've had a change of heart and I can't complain about how comfortable they are! I love to style trainers with black skinny jeans for a casual day look.

Winter Coat
Theres nothing better than a new winter coat, I think its a good idea to upgrade your coat every year as this is the item you're probably going to wear the most and trends are constantly changing, this year I chose a shearling jacket which is very on trend as well as very warm.

Casual Fashion Inspo

I feel like I haven't wrote a fashion post in ages but as usual I've been obsessing daily over fashion posts on Instagram.I have decided to put together a selection of my favourite casual looks recently posted by the Kardashians and Jenners of course, more stylish celebs and some of my favourite fashion bloggers.

Kourtney, Khloe and Kylie rock all black. Lately I have been wearing leather leggings and trousers religiously and I need to buy some plain and distressed black jeans, I think they go with pretty much everything and can smarten up a casual look.

Simlar to Kylies look is Sarah Ashcrofts street style in New York, I love the black and nude combination, I'm still loving bomber jackets and my collection is ever growing but this nude and a black bomber are to be added next. Sarah is also wearing the limited edition Nike Desert Thea trainers which I was trying to get a hold of for weeks but I have officially gave up, at least I have the black NY cap!

The same nude bomber worn with neutral tones (Instagram @xshellcy)

How good do Kourtney and Kylie look in their Yeezy oversized sweatshirts,  I don't think anybody can pull this look off quite like these girls and certainly not everyone can afford the ridiculous price tag never the less I'm inspired.

Oversized and waterfall coats are still very much in fashion this year, but what I particularly like about Kylie and Gigis looks is the grey tones, I'm loving neutral and muted colours.

Sarah Ashcroft looks classy and stylish with a simple white tee, distressed jeans and a leather biker jacket. I love leather jackets they never go out of fashion and can make the most plain outfit look trendy, I have a leather jacket from Zara for Christmas which I can't wait to wear!

More leather jackets worn by Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, styled with over the knee boots and lace detail khaki trousers.

Kylie sports Adidas originals for an extra casual look.
